What motivated you to start Golde?

Golde was born from my own experience as a consumer in the wellness space. I felt caught between the crunchy/granola stuff I'd grown up with in Upstate New York and the luxury offerings that were becoming more commonplace. I wanted to build a brand that felt approachable and fun, without compromising on quality formulas that work.

What would you consider your hero product from your brand?

Our Original Turmeric blend and our Clean Greens face mask seem to be tied for this position at the moment! We launched with the Original Turmeric blend and got into skincare more recently.

What standards/non-negotiables do you take into consideration when thinking about enhancing or developing new products?

Everything we do is powered by superfoods, so that element is always there. We also like to keep our formulas as simple and natural as possible.

What do you think are some of the biggest challenges for "beauty/wellness" brands today?

I think consumer education is a major one. There's the balance of coming into the market with a product that feels fresh and new, but also making sure the value prop and ingredient story feel familiar (and thus, trustworthy) to the customer.

What has been one of your proudest moments since creating your brand?

There have been a lot of "pinch me" moments, but I'm honestly proud every single day when I think about how far we've come over 3 years.

What can we expect in the future from Angie Watts?

We're working on a bunch more products. I'm using them all and loving them, can't wait to share more.
