How do you start your day?
Best case scenario - I hop in the shower like 15 minutes after I’m up, do my skincare routine, make some coffee and clean up the house.
Worst case scenario - I do all of this, but after wasting like an hour on my phone.
Do you have a morning / evening ritual?
Cleaning up my space and drinking coffee is my favorite morning ritual. If I can get some meaningful movement or stretching in as well, that’s sweet too. In the evenings, I love tea to wind down. I usually go to bed with some form of TV on in the background and I gradually turn the volume down to like 0 then fall asleep, nothing special haha.
What is your daily skincare routine?
I alternate between ROSEN products a lot, but right now it’s been:
- Cleanse with Super Smoothie Cleanser
- 1-2 times a week, use the Enzyme Scrub
- Tone with Tropics Toner
- 2 pumps of Bright Citrus Serum
- Mist Rose Water Face Dew
- Tropics Moisturizer
- Mist on Supergoop sunscreen setting spray
Do you have a daily wellness routine?
I’ve been super into ginger lately! So I’ll usually do hot water, lemon, ginger and cayenne pepper after my morning coffee and if I’m feeling a little hungrier that day, I’ll add in a pineapple juice, coconut milk, ginger and turmeric drink. I think with the limited physical activity + slower days, this holds me over pretty well throughout the day and I love how it makes me feel inside and out.
Trying to get outside for walks has been a huge part of my routine lately and I’m bummed that it took me until COVID-19 to start doing it!
What is a beauty product or tool you can’t live without?
Product would have to be a ROSEN cleanser, I could do either one. Tool would be my high frequency wand, I live by it!
What do you do for R&R when you need to reboot?
Cleaning, coloring, drawing or cooking! I love all of these things so much, and they’re all such great ways for me to get off my phone and just flow through a process.
What are your must haves when traveling?
Skincare (duh), chapstick, some sort of oil for my hair and body, eyedrops, headphones, a reusable water bottle and a charger.
What selfcare advice would you have given yourself 5 years ago?
Your skin is normal and beautiful, you’re making a bigger deal about it than anyone else. You’re living life at your own pace, so all of these constraints to do it quickly, efficiently, or early are all self-imposed. And lastly, you’re exactly where you need to be, making the right decisions at this point in time. You’re solid, just live.
Do you have any beauty/wellness advice for our followers?
It’s so cliche, but loving yourself first helps with so many decisions and emotions when it comes to how you feel about you and your tendencies. Being truly comfortable with yourself makes your decisions stronger, your jealousy lower, and your ability to be truly happy with others even better!
